Thoughts from the Week

This week has been calmer than last, I am happy to say.
We were all over the place last week, but just about 1/3 as busy this week. Michael had a meeting in a neighboring county Monday night and brought this lovely yellow and purple bouquet home!  It is still just as pretty.
Progress on the two projects continues slowly and surely--the Simple Sampler and John Thomas' afghan. Today, I want to work on the kitchen with some deep cleaning, and then I might take off the rest of the day to try to get some work done on these projects. My goal is to have them done by the end of the month, which is rapidly approaching.
Family night in this Wednesday at Church. On the first Wednesdays of the month, we have a family meal.  Our older fellowship hall has had new life breathed into it, and we have a functioning fireplace. Michael suggested that we could have a "soup supper" (everyone's favorite), and sit around the fireplace. I think the idea sounds great. I bought a bag of the calico bean soup mix at the grocery store last night with the thought of fixing it to take.
Because the winter months here are so fleeting, we all get excited about these cozy moments!
Hope you all are keeping warm and cozy!
